An explosion on a London Tube this morning sent a massive fireball through the train, burning dozens but without causing any deaths in what appears to be the latest terrorist incident in Europe.

Reports noted that the bomb was constructed crudely inside a plastic bucket, and London authorities have confirmed they are treating it as an act of terrorism.

The alleged attacker appears to still be at large. Early reports did not indicate that police have any leads yet.

Experts told local media they believe the device malfunctioned — that only the smaller detonator ignited and not the main charge.

Meanwhile, a lone knife-wielding man tried to attack a French soldier in Paris as well. The attacker shouted “Allah” as he lunged. The soldier wrestled the attacker to the ground and police arrested him. [source]

Analyst comment: Europe’s problem with radical Islam is obviously growing, but there is no indication that Britain or the EU plan to change current policies that led to dramatic increases in the numbers of mostly Muslim immigrants in recent years. With ISIS’ defeat coming, many experts believe Islamic State fighters will fade into the regular population of the war-torn nations of the region and continue to infiltrate into Europe.
