Account Migration

Early Warning / Forward Observer Members –

The new site is at initial operating capacity while we develop intelligence tools for 2026 and beyond. This is a custom-built platform that we own, control, and can grow on. The bottom line is that the new tools we’re developing will serve you better during periods of crisis. Unfortunately, the previous platform just wasn’t working for what we needed it to do, thus the change. Thank you for the support.

If at any point you need assistance, please email our support inbox at: support@forwardobserver.com. – M.S.

Good afternoon! Forward Observer CEO Mike Shelby here.

Bottom Line Up Front: We’re about to improve your Early Warning experience and make your access to national and geopolitical intelligence faster and more actionable. We’re replacing the Early Warning Network with the newly upgraded Forward Observer intelligence platform. All Early Warning Network member accounts have been created on the new Forward Observer website. On Friday, 29 August, we will cease publishing new content to the EWN site and complete the transition to https://forwardobserver.com. To get access to your account, either follow instructions we sent last week, or manually reset your password by at this link by clicking on the “Lost your password?” link. Just type in your email address, follow the instructions sent via email, and you’ll be up and running at Forward Observer.

Whether you joined us through the Early Warning Network, or from the original Forward Observer, first I want to say thank you.

Your support has helped build a mission-focused company centered on helping you stay ahead of threats, disruption, and crises. That mission continues today.

From our roots as a digital and print magazine, to our 2016 pivot to a weekly intelligence report, then to a daily intelligence briefing in 2020, and finally to the creation of the Early Warning Network as an “intelligence community,” we’ve continued to adapt to anticipated needs of the future.

We’re again making a major evolution in how we help you stay ahead of disruption and crisis.

Starting this month, we’re replacing the Early Warning Network with something much better: the brand-new, custom built Forward Observer intelligence platform.

This news and intelligence platform was built specifically for one reason: to give you better intel faster.

Here’s what this means for you:

  • Quicker access to breaking news and intelligence briefings
  • Higher signal, lower noise reports that save you time and attention
  • Improved features and web navigation, including the new Intelligence Watchfloor
  • A more secure and reliable platform with improved privacy and uptime

You’ll still receive our intelligence briefing via email but now you’ll have access to many great features in development – what we envision will be the best crisis intelligence platform available without a Top Secret clearance.

I’ve never been more excited about the future of Forward Observer. This new website and intelligence platform will fix old problems, improve existing features and introduce new ones, which means faster and better intelligence for you.

This change is a big win for our members and our mission. It’s not just a tech upgrade, it’s a capabilities upgrade for your safety, awareness, and preparedness.

Until next time, be well and stay out front.

Always Out Front,

Mike Shelby,

CEO, Forward Observer

I’m on this new platform and there are no notifications at all showing up like on the old one. Also there was another member and myself having a chat back and forth since we are both from Maine and nowhere on this new current platform are those conversations we were having. More issues need to be debugged/solved before having folks migrate over to this new one which is difficult to migrate instead of being in the simple format. Remember, KISS Keep It Simple Stupid.

So no I am not a happy camper right now.
