This report is a roll-up of activity from revolutionary communist, radical anarchist, fascist, and other ‘alternative’ political groups that fulfill our intelligence requirements for both the Alt-Left and Alt-Right for Monday, 12 February 2018. Alt-Left:
Website: A new website created by antifacsists “studies the presence of fascism around the world.” The website, called “FashMaps,” locates and tracks fascist activity via an interactive map. The creators of the website located the fascists using their Daily Stormer message board activity. (AC: The Daily Stormer is a neo-Nazi/white supremacist website). The website also provides links to the fascists profiles where you can view their activity, however, you must create an account to do this, which will then put your username and profile on the map, too. Alt-Right:
Charlottesville: Planners of the Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville, Virginia are being tried in court. Jason Kessler and the other defendants claim that their planning of and participation in the rally is protected by the First Amendment, however, the prosecution has “accused the event’s leaders of plotting to deprive them of their civil rights by encouraging their followers to arm themselves and partake in violence.” Not included with the nine plaintiffs who have brought up a case against the planners is the family of Heather Heyer, who was killed during the rally.
