DAILY SITUATIONAL AWARENESS

WHITE HOUSE: President Biden travels back to the White House from Delaware. This afternoon he will sign the Commission To Study the Potential Creation of a National Museum of Asian Pacific American History and Culture Act.

STATE DEPARTMENT: Secretary of State Blinken hosts South Korean Foreign Minister Park Jin in Washington D.C.. Deputy Secretary Sherman continues touring South Korea, the Philippines, Laos, and Vietnam.

DEFENSE DEPARTMENT: U.S. Indo-Pacific Command hosts exercise Valiant Shield 22, June 6-17, on Guam, the Northern Mariana Island, Palau, and Mariana Island Range Complex. According to the Navy, participants include: the USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) and USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) Carrier Strike Groups, USS Tripoli (LHA 7), 94th Army Air and Missile Defense Command (AAMDC), I and III Marine Expeditionary Force (MEF), 36th Wing, 15 surface ships, more than 200 aircraft, and an estimated 13,000 personnel from the U.S. Navy, Air Force, Army, Marine Corps, and Space Force.

CONGRESS: The House and Senate are not expected to advance any legislation this week. The House will vote Monday to suspend five transportation and infrastructure bills (H.R. 6270, S. 516, H.R. 2020, H.R. 7211, S. 3580). Later this week, the House will debate the Lower Food and Fuel Costs Act (H.R. 7606) and the Financial Services Racial Equity, Inclusion, and Economic Justice Act (H.R. 2543).
