  • Americas Rollup
    • Foreign Affairs Minister Alicia Bárcena announced that Mexico and Venezuela reached a repatriation and employment agreement for the estimated 4-5,000 Venezuelans still in Mexico. The Mexican government reports that about 220,000 Venezuelans entered the country last year.
  • Indo-Pacific Rollup
    • Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi encouraged Australia to make choices independent of the United States.
    • The Philippines Government says Chinese nationals who joined the Philippines Coast Guard “undermines the country’s security.”
    • A freight rail route between China’s Hubei Province and Belgrade, Serbia, began operations this morning, connecting the Chinese economy to Europe via a land route.
  • Middle East Rollup
    • Chinese and Russian ships will have safe passage through the Bab al-Mandeb Strait and Yemeni waters, Mohammed Abdulsalam, spokesman for the Yemeni Houthi government, officially announced.
    • Egyptian President al-Sisi reiterated that an invasion into Rafah would bring “grave consequences” during his meeting with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken. Blinken repeated that the Rafah invasion would be a mistake at a joint conference with Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry later that day.
